Discovery Angkor (1day)
At 8:00am or at your preferable time, you will be picked up from your hotel. Visit Angkor Thom including Preah Palilay, Phimeanakas, Baphuon, the Terraces of the Elephants and Leper King, the Bayon with its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic smiling faces; Ta Prohm, the Jungle Temple, made famous by the film “Tomb Raider.”

Day 1: On this full day excursion to remote Angkor temples (starting in Siem Reap). It takes 1 hour to reach Beng Mealea (65km), which has the same size as Angkor Wat. Beng Mealea – like the famous Ta Prohm temple – has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: trees are growing out of the ruins, the jungle surrounds the whole temple complex. Drive another 1 hour to reach Koh Ker group (60km), a former Angkorian capital (928-944).

After lunch, you will drive further north 90mns to reach a town called Sraem and overnight at Preah Vihear Boutique Hotel. (www.preahvihearhotels.com/www.preahvihearboutique.com)
Day 2: (Breakfast included) Spend a full morning exploring the magnificent temple complex of Preah Vihear sits on the 2,000-foot mountaintop facing a spectacular view of the Cambodian countryside.

Afternoon, return to Siem Reap. On the drive, visit Anlong Veng Historical Site, the last former Khmer Rouge stronghold and the remnants of the Pol Pot regime. You will return to the hotel in Siem Reap.

At 7:30am you’ll be picked up and drive through lush countryside up to the holy mountain Kulen. This is where the 500-year long “Age of Angkor” began. There are several amazing ruins including the Thousand Linga stands in the Siem Reap River. Waterfalls, active pagoda and a large reclining Buddha sculpture carved out of one stone are all well worth visiting.

Afternoon, go on an adventure to the recently opened ruin of Beng Mealea. This sprawling jungle temple is largely overrun by vegetation and has had very few visitors, providing an adventurous ‘lost temple’ feel. Continue visiting floating and fishing villages of Kompong Khleang. Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake- one of the largest fresh water lakes in Asia.

Day 2: School Tours
Morning: There is an optional opportunity to visit the rural elementary schools 30 km west of Angkor. These schools are supported by the charities we are involved with that provide access to education to children around Cambodia. During these school visits, you are welcome to teach an English lesson, play with kids, plant a garden or food trees, and have lunch with kids and teachers. We highly appreciate any gifts and educational supplies you may wish to bring for the schools and children, including books, pens, shoes, school uniforms, sporting equipment.

Afternoon, boat cruise on the Tonle Sap Lake. These floating fishing villages are unique. If time allows, you will visit Wat Preah Prohm Rath - a beautiful Buddhist monastery located in the heart of Siem Reap town.
Day 3: Siem Reap- Angkor
Morning, visit Angkor Thom including South Gate, the Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas & Royal Palace, Ta Prohm, the Jungle Temple, made famous by the film “Tomb Raider.”

Day 3: Tonle Sap Great Lake
Bird watching and E-co tourism on the Great Lake Tonle Sap. Prek Toal core bird reserve is visited as a day trip from Angkor including a visit of miles of floating, fishing villages. Large flocks of cormorants, storks, pelicans, great adjutants, black headed ibis and oriental darters, herons, egrets and terns are almost guaranteed from January to May.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Angkor
Village tour where you may observe locals cooking sticky rice in bamboo tubes, weaving baskets, making sugar palm, markets and street food and Artisan workshop.

Late afternoon, experience a one hour quad ride adventure to view sunset in the outskirts of Siem Reap. Truly amazing!
